MakersPlace is seeking a passionate Communications Manager who is excited to help us empower a vibrant future for digital creativity. In this role, you will craft narratives and pursue earned media opportunities that drive sales, support artists and collectors, and position the company as a leader in the creator economy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sale-related media outreach on behalf of artists and collectors who are offering works on the platform, including the MakersPlace ‘Drop’ program and secondary Marketplace
  • Lead product-related communications, driving conversation around platform and feature updates
  • Support the Head of Communications on communications regarding major brand initiatives
  • Collaborate with Community Managers and Social Media Managers to ensure consistent messaging across channels and constituents
  • Expand and maintain MakersPlace’s relationships with journalists across relevant sectors
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for artists and other sellers

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years experience in Communications strategy and execution
  • Demonstrated interest in the creator economy and helping artists thrive in a digital world
  • An analytical approach to communications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative approach to communications and passion for unearthing new channels of influence
  • Strong leadership skills and self-directed
  • Energized by working in a rapidly-evolving space
