MakersPlace is looking for a passionate people leader who’ll be responsible for the company’s people strategy from recruiting, culture, employee performance, health, retention and more. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the founding team and cross functional leaders, to build, retain and inspire a high performing remote organization.


  • Recruiting - Lead the company’s recruiting efforts, working with in-house and external recruiters, and hiring managers to hire and retain a world-class remote team.
  • Culture - Own, cultivate and champion the company’s culture, by instituting initiatives and programs to reinforce a collaborative and inclusive remote organization.
  • People management - **** Lead the company’s HR programs and practices, supporting both individual employees and leaders on all people-related matters.
  • Employee compensation and performance - Build and manage the company’s employee performance, compensation and benefits program.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years working in an HR and people leadership role
  • Exceptional leadership skills necessary to own, drive and inspire the organization through company-wide initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Passion for the arts and excited to help empower a future for creativity
