We're building a suite of greenfield web apps for both our upcoming title Illuvium and our DeFi Protocols. This includes everything from public facing web3 apps, to internal apps that manage our game configurations. To help us on this mission, we're looking for an experienced and ambitious lead frontend engineer with a solid technical background and leadership skills, and enthusiasm for building slick, user-focused applications, that are well tested, and a pleasure to use.

Responsibilities

  • Build functional, polished and well tested web applications using React
  • Architect and lead the development of web applications using front end technologies
  • Lead and manage a team of web developers to build top quality products
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure the creation of feasible designs that are practical and of a high standard
  • Work with the Product Managers on the product definition, and create tasks for sprints
  • Promote best practice principles relating to technical and non-technical aspects of software delivery
  • Assist with design and code review, and ensure the application are following good engineering practices
  • Evaluate new technologies and techniques to improve general practices
  • Encourage and promote our culture of openness and self improvement

Job Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Capable of leading multiple projects and manage a dynamic working environment
  • Experience deploying high quality web applications to production that work across all standard device types
  • Expert level knowledge of React and Typescript, including modern React features such as React-hooks
  • Working knowledge of unit, integration, and e2e testing patterns as well as an ability to write well tested components
  • Good understanding current frontend trends and best practices, especially concerning areas of performance and usability
  • Eagerness to maintain informed of trends in product design and UI/UX
  • Ability to do thorough code review and enforce best practices
