Our team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to build the engine that drives innovation at MakersPlace. As one of the foundational members of this team, you'll help build and scale our data infrastructure, as well as help establish best practices for our data organization going forward.
Responsibilities
- Work with our Head of Data to manage the technologies making up our big data platform.
- Build a best in class data pipeline to support realtime systems.
- Ensure quality and reliability of our data at rest and in flight.
- Work with product and business teams to develop data tools.
Job Requirements
- 5 or more years with relevant experience as a hands on developer.
- Direct experience with AWS big data tools such as EMRs, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, S3.
- Experience building sophisticated data platforms and architecture.
- Strong relational database skills (MySql, Amazon AuroraDB).
- Experience in the full development lifecycle for ML backed features.
- Experience working with best in class tools and vendors for insights, ETL's, ML, and orchestration.
