We’re looking for a Technical Artist who can act as a bridge between the art and programming teams.
You will join a team of experienced game developers and help shape the future of how games interact with NFTs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about games development, ensuring that the players have the greatest experience possible.
Responsibilities
- Author and polish shaders in Unity and Unreal along with the use of lighting, rendering and post processing effects to create the desired output.
- Develop content creation pipelines to manage assets between external software and game engines such as Unity and Unreal.
- Create character and prop rigs based on requirements from the animators and export guidelines.
- Create and manage Blueprints in Unreal to be used by artists for content development.
- Manage complex game scenes and projects from a content and asset point of view.
- Develop tools to be used by artists using Python and other relevant scripting languages.
- Bridge between art and programming teams to understand the requirements and develop solutions and pipelines for asset creation and handling.
- Ability to create and animate visual effects.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years as a Technical Artist/ Animator in the games and/or film industry.
- Experience working with 3D suites such as 3DS Max, Maya and Blender.
- Experience working with Unity and Unreal game engines.
- Knowledge of creating tools and pipelines for art assets.
- Knowledge of shading, lighting and rendering techniques used in the 3D industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to self-manage tasks and priorities.
- Goal focused mentality, and can quickly adapt and pivot as per the requirements and new information of the project being undertaken.
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Experience with HLSL and other related shading languages.
- C# experience to make tools.
- Modelling and animation experience.
- Basic C++ experience.
